Government of Aragón sets access times for the official viewing sites for the total solar eclipse
Parking at the official viewing sites will be available from 10 to 13 August, subject to prior booking through turismodearagon.com.
The Government of Aragón has established access and stay arrangements for the POGA (Government of Aragón Viewing Sites) for the total solar eclipse on 12 August 2026, with the aim of ensuring staggered arrivals and minimising traffic congestion.
Vehicles and motorhomes that have completed their booking through turismodearagon.com will be able to access the designated parking and camping areas from 10:00 a.m. on Monday, 10 August. These sites will remain open and access-controlled until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, 13 August.
This extended access period has been designed for safety and traffic management purposes. It will allow both arrivals and departures to be spread over several days, reducing the risk of traffic jams and preventing excessive pressure on the road network.
The POGA are sites selected and organised by the Government of Aragón to provide a safe, well-organised and comfortable environment for observing the eclipse, in anticipation of the large number of visitors expected from across Spain and abroad.
In this first phase, four official viewing sites have been established in Javalambre, Calamocha, MotorLand Aragón and Épila. Access is managed exclusively through advance booking on turismodearagon.com, ensuring effective planning of site capacity, visitor services and access arrangements.
This initiative forms part of the wider programme launched by the Government of Aragón to anticipate and manage the impact of the total solar eclipse, an event that will position Aragón as one of Europe’s leading destinations for eclipse observation.
